These pieces of writing reflect the range of economic botany topics linking plants of value to humanity for food, drink, materials, medicine, warmth and spiritual values that have interested me over the years in different parts of the world.  Covering their history, growth, harvesting, processing and end products and the people involved in them.

Hope it also interests you to.

I undertake consultancy work, lectures, talks, project work to do with food and non food supply chain.  I am interested in practical farming and horticulture at one end of the spectrum and product development of plant derived products food and bio-based materials.  I am interested in the human stories behind our relationship with plants and writing about these.  I have been involved with KTP activities.  Please contact me if you have an idea for a project or talk or piece of writing you would like my involvement with.
